An improvement over previous mars shots. Detail seems sharper and the red color is a bit less overwhelming than in the previous picture.

 15OCT05

Best shot of Mars so far. 5x Powermate and IR/UV cut filter.

Compare with this reference image from Starry Night Pro.

 09Apr05 - Jupiter

This is perhaps my best shot of Jupiter ever, and certainly my best of two this year.

The Great Red Spot is visible, as are some other atmospheric disturbances (white spots and mottled patch).

06Apr05 - Jupiter with Europa and Io

This was an unexpected treat. In processing, Io and Europa were made visible alongside details on Jupiter's "boring side."

 03Feb05 - Saturn

This is my best picture of Saturn so far. It was a crisp, clear night with moments of excellent seeing.

 08Jun04, Venus leaving the Sun.

See my Venus Transit page for more.

Caught this conjunction of Europa and Io while messing around with stacking Barlows in 25-degree Fahrenheit gusty weather.

Too bad the seeing conditions weren't better!

This is my first clear photo so far of the GRS transiting the face of Jupiter. Seeing was fair.
This shot isn't great, but it is my first where you can see details on Jupiter and moons as well. Unlike below, it isn't a composite. It is tricky to balance the gamma, brightness, and gain to get both moons and Jupiter to image.
I'm proud of this one. It shows more cloud detail than before and I caught a transit of Ganymede. You can make out Ganymede at the limb of the planet.

Saturn on 10 March 04, 2010 EST time.

Jupiter with Moons. 04 Mar, 2040 EST.

One of my first images of Saturn (22 Feb 04). I can just faintly see the Cassini division.

22 Feb 04. Jupiter, barely showing the Great Red Spot.
The images above, combined & with capture data.
This is a Jupiter image in the processing phase that looks okay. It was from the same 28 Feb 04 pictures above. I think this coloration is more accurate than the ones above.

I'm sorry to say this is my best Mars so far. I need to work on this one more! This was taken 28 Feb 04.
